  • Session 5: Print Shape Example 2

    The text is:
What solids are in the air around you? Smear thin layers of petroleum jelly onto four plastic lids. Place the lids in four outdoor locations around your home and school.

In this text, the beaker graphic is used throughout the text to indicate to the student that this is a scientific experiment that he or she might like to try. A shape indicator dots 1-2-4-6dots 1-2dots 1-3 which uses the "bk" abbreviation to mean "beaker", might be used. The transcriber would identify this shape indicator in a transcribers note or in a special symbols list.
