  • Special Symbols Page

In a separate window is a sample special symbols page. Notice that the page begins with the words "SPECIAL SYMBOLS USED IN THIS VOLUME", and that the symbols begin in Cell 1 with runovers in Cell 3. Notice also that the special symbols which use only right-hand dots or lower-cell dots are defined in enclosed parentheses without dashes (35, 35).

In most cases, the special symbols list will consist of less than 12 pages. If, however, there are 12 or more pages, the specialis symbols list can be handled as a supplementary volume.

The full rule for special symbols is included for your study.
