Major problems in technological terminology include:

• Number of acronyms, abbreviations, and mnemonics;
• Obscurity of origins of terms;
• Borrowling terms from other disciplines; and
• Multiple uses of abbreviations and acronyms.

Each time a reader encounters poor terminology, comprehension declines and the reader's performance suffers.
